One Hill of an Adventure

Travel Guides

Every guide on this page started as a planning document for a real trip we took. Our guides reflect where we are now, not just where we started. Some trips cost us a few hundred dollars, others ran into the thousands. Some are short enough to pull off with a long weekend or a few days of PTO. Others are the kind of trips we could only take between semesters or between jobs - longer stretches that let us go further and stay longer than a normal work schedule allows.

What stays the same is how we think about spending: honest breakdowns of what things actually cost, where we cut corners, and where we didn't. We also share the spots and experiences we think are worth it, and the things we wish we'd known before we went.

Every trip looks a little different depending on your budget, your interests, and how much you want to wing it. Use these as a starting point and orient them to what suits you best. And if you're earlier in the process, Financial Foundations is the better place to begin. Some of our shorter guides are a good middle ground while you're building toward bigger trips. We're also always available to help you plan your next adventure with whatever budget you have, in our 1:1 sessions.

More guides on the way

We're building out guides from short and long trips across all areas of the US and beyond. We'll be sharing trips from the East Coast, the West Coast, road trips in between, and a ton of other places we've been. Check back over time as we keep adding new guides.
